郭雪湖為臺灣最重要的前輩膠彩畫家，晚年移居美國，但心中依然掛念童年時期大稻埕的黃金歲月。黃心健和張文杰將郭雪湖的經典畫作《赤崁樓暮色》、《淡江泊舟》、《南街殷賑》打造成動態的虛擬場景，化作《望鄉三態》，做出空間、時間、體驗三種VR互動，藉科技重新詮釋郭雪湖美學精神，打破永恆的靜態，讓思鄉之情再度流轉。
Kuo Hsueh-Hu, Taiwan’s foremost pioneer in Eastern Gouache painting, relocated to the United States in his later years but always held nostalgic memories of his childhood in the golden years of Dadaocheng. Hsin-Chien Huang and Wen-Chieh Chang have transformed Kuo Hsueh-Hu’s masterpieces “The Setting Sun by the Fort Porvintia,” “Colorful Boats in Tan Chiang River,” and “Festival on South Street” into dynamic virtual scenes, collectively titled “Kuo Hsueh-Hu: Three States of Home Gazing.” This project employs VR technology to reinterpret Kuo Hsueh-Hu’s aesthetic spirit through spatial, temporal, and experiential interactions, breaking away from eternal stillness and reanimating the sentiment of longing for home once again.
